Advanced Building Inspection
Electrical Inspections
Electrical inspections are REQUIRED by NYS whenever any new electrical wiring is being done. These inspections must be completed by an approved electrical inspection company, not by an electrician. We work for Commonwealth Electrical Inspections Services in order to provide this very important service to our clients.
RECONNECTIONS - If the electrical service to a house has been turned off for a period of time, most utility companies will require this reconnect inspection to be sure it is safe to re-energize the service.
SERVICES - Any new service or service that is being replaced or upgraded will be required by the utility company to be inspected before it is energized.
NEW OR REPLACEMENT WIRING - Anytime new wiring or replacement wiring is completed, an inspection is required. Failure can result in fines, insurance claims not being paid, and having to remove walls and re-complete the work among other things. Remodels and additions require a minimum of two inspections. One, the rough-in, is done before the walls are insulated and covered and the second, the final, is when all work is complete.
POOL INSPECTIONS - NYS also requires that any swimming pool being installed will need a building permit and an electrical inspection. The codes are strict and must be followed exactly. Call us for a list of the codes and rules for your pool installation.
WE DO RESIDENTIAL AND LIGHT COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL INSPECTIONS. FOR MORE INFORMATION YOU CAN CALL US OR CONTACT OUR REGIONAL COMMONWEALTH OFFICE IN MENDON, NY AT 585-664-2380 FOR HELP OR ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS.
