With 50 years of experience in general contracting, house construction and remodeling, restoration and business management, Kevin and Coleen Tuttle started Advanced Building Inspection in 1999 with a vision to offer the public expert information about residential homes and commercial buildings. Our goal is to provide both advice and knowledge about the property mixed with a personal touch so that our client comes away feeling confident that they can make a truly "educated" decision about it knowing that the day they move in it feels like home. 

Kevin's background as a 3rd generation builder/carpenter starting in the suburbs of northern New Jersey and then here in western New York since the early 80's, had him building homes with his family then his own crews - board by board and system by system, from the bottom up.  He also started a smoke, fire and water damage restoration franchise in the 1990's and added electrical code compliance inspections to the list in 2002. Now with over 23 years and thousands of property inspections under his belt, he will make your home inspection experience the best it can be.

While Coleen's early career spanned from food service to veterinary medicine to business manager - it gave her just the right amount of experience to help start, run, build and maintain the business wearing the many hats it takes to make it a well-established and successful company. It is her friendly voice that will start you out in your inspection process and who can assist you in many ways thereafter. 

Finally, New York State requires it's home inspectors to have yearly continuing education. Topics include the general systems of a house but also can be specialized such as IR camera use, buried oil tanks, identifying meth homes, slate and terra cotta roof systems and more. So you can be assured that we keep up on the latest information to do your job right.
